Joy

It all started when Joy asked me to create a little brother for her... I was delighted to accept this offer from my beloved jester. So I started off researching for references and I landed on creating this vampire-demon hybrid (loosely based on Jiang Shi, a Chinese hopping vampire)! My theme is all about fear, inflicting fear to the viewers. I had decided to play around with Chinese culture about death and superstitions. Unlike Jolly, who is based on a Chinese opera look with a cheerful, mischievous vibe, Joy is more of a sinister character. He has a darker aesthetics, a more menacing being.
